Nelson Chikusa is an Executive Director in Fundraising at Briarcliffe Credit Partners, leading capital raising in the Midwest and Canada.

Nelson has extensive experience in allocating institutional assets, portfolio management, and credit investing. Most recently, he was a senior portfolio manager within Morgan Stanley's Outsourced Chief Investment Office, translating relevant strategic and tactical views into portfolio investments. Nelson managed multi-asset portfolios to the benefit of North American institutional and tax-exempt organizations by focusing on long-term goals and constructing diversified alternatives sleeves.

Previously, Nelson was a credit investment manager at Marathon Asset Management responsible for portfolio management, fundraising, and client relationships. In that role, he focused on asset growth that included working with consultants and developing new fund offerings. Earlier in his career, Nelson held multiple roles at JPMorgan, eventually as a fixed income senior researcher both in London and New York.

Nelson holds a Master's of Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol, England. He serves on the boards of Andrus and Maloto, both of which focus on education, welfare, and dignity for underserved children in the State of New York, and underprivileged communities in Malawi, respectively.
